Try Morris Dancing With Us!

Our dances

Morris dancers began at the Royal Court in around 1440 and in 1660 accompanied King Charles II on his  Restoration return to London. Morris dancers were also part of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant in 1897. So it was great that we were asked to dance at Queen’s Jubilee celebrations at local events. On Saturday June 2nd we did a workshop and display for ScoutFest at Wincanton. As one Scout leader said:”most of these youngsters have never seen traditional folk dancing like this. Wonderful!” Next, on Monday June 4th we were part of the very successful Family Fun Day in Taunton. See our YouTube links
